The site is an existing carpark to the rear of a 1960’s apartment block in Dublin 4. It is proposed to relocate the carparking underground and to make six 2 and 3 storey mews houses arranged around a shared south-facing landscaped courtyard area. Each house enjoys a glazed sunroom in addition to an open terrace.
It is proposed to retain the existing stone wall to the laneway at ground floor level and to continue this language through to the shared inner courtyard. The upper levels then are clad in a smooth white limestone with slatted timber screens to certain areas to allow for light and privacy.
