This project on Bellevue Road in Greystones involves the refurbishment and extension of a semi-detached Edwardian two-storey house dating from 1897. The new single-storey extension extends to 45sq.m. and comprises a new kitchen and lounge area opening out to the rear garden and a utility room. The walls are finished in a chalky white Dutch brick and a render to match the existing house. A mono-pitch roof over the lounge area of the extension is designed to bring south light deep into the kitchen and dining room and to maximise passive solar gain. The brickwork extends into the garden forming low retaining walls and steps.
