The proposed development involves the demolition of the existing pavilion building on the south-side of Merrion Village and the construction of 28 apartments and gym facility while retaining an amenity garden to the north-west of the site. The proposed development comprises a single block with a stepped profile that is arranged around a series of shared courtyard gardens. The access and circulation, in the centre of the block, are semi-external to create an easy connection to the gardens. The apartments are all double and triple aspect and are organised with service spaces on the north side and bedrooms and living spaces on the west and south side. Private balconies are accessed from the living rooms and are recessed within the building form.
