Winner Best House Extension - RIAI irish Architecture Awards 2019

Special Mention - AAI Awards 2019

The project involves the re-working of a Victorian house and garden. The existing fabric is retained except for the removal of part of the upper floor to create a double-height roof-lit space in the centre of the plan. This acts as a hinge to the extension that contains an open-plan living, kitchen and dining space on the ground floor. The living room extends out into the garden and visually connects to a new garden room at the end of the plot. On the first floor the three children share a playroom that gives access to their compact colour-coded sleeping quarters.
